Thumbs up Screen flickering during reboot after driver installation.

I'm new here and also new to linux, this is my first post so if there's any mistake kindly address it so I'll not do it again.
Here's my issue:
I recently installed linux mint cinnamon to my laptop cause windows 10 was slow and boring. So after installing the os, it automatically asked for installing the wifi drivers. Once the installation was finished I rebooted so the changes to take place but when the boot started, the mint logo started flickering. I kept my laptop on overnight if its taking but in the morning there wasn't any progress. I thought there must be some issue so I installed elementary os. After finished the initial driver installation I clicked the reboot button and it's behaving the same way as mint. I can't install the wifi drivers to connect to internet for any necessary downloads. Kindly guide me through if there's anything to be done.
Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome,

I'd recommend that you post your system specifications as well as whether or not you would like to retain the capability to dual boot, or if you are just interested in installing Linux totally on that system.

Once people know what system you have, they can advise you better.

This seems like a video problem, not wireless adapter, however let's first get you to a situation where you can install successfully, and then consider if you need additional custom drivers for anything.

Ahhh that good old screen flicker

Reminds me of a time when you had to code your own display drivers to even *think* of using Linux.

So what Linux are you using?
What is your h/w (brand, gpu, display, etc)?
If it is flickering only on the logo (and not before) during boot up then your system may not be properly configured or using the wrong video driver.
Can you sign in? Or boot to safe mode (generic/vesa video mode)?
