Um, care to elaborate a little? If you normally use it anyway, what's wrong with clamtk?

The underlying AV used by clamtk is clamAV. You can use a different front-end for it if you want, such as kde's klamav, but you'll still be doing the same scanning operations in the end.

Your other option is to get a different AV program. There aren't that many to choose from, however:

In fact, when scanning a questionable partition, it's often a good idea to run more than one AV on it. What one might miss, another may find.

Hello malayo,

A problem may be that some viruses are only visible on a running system. Such viruses cannot be found by a live-CD since they can only be detected by means of scanning their behaviour when they're in action.

In such cases the only possibility is to have a good antivirus-program running on Windows. Or in the worst case (which is the normal case for Windows-users) completely reinstall the system.
