In rescue mode you do not need to have anything mounted, everything is running from the CDROM. fsck should be located on the cdrom in one of the sbin directories:
/sbin/fsck
/usr/sbin/fsck

There is no need to mount a device, not even boot or swap.

ok it was because I made a sysimage.

How long does it take to scan? It showed up almost instant how much was clean and stuff.

You will need to force it:
fsck -f /dev/hdx
If it's not marked dirty, it's likely not otherwise your bootup would scan it.
