Yes. The USB drive is probably /dev/sda1. Plug in the drive and open up a console. As root, type:
mkdir /mnt/mydirectory
mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/mydirectory
You should then be able to see you files in the /mnt/mydirectory. I'm assuming the flash drive is formated as vfat filesystem. If you use KDE, you can right click on the desktop and select add new hard drive to get a desktop icon linking the flash drive. Hopefully what I said is right
