scan in disks without rebooting

Our SAN admin presented a lun to my RHEL server. Typically I run

echo "- - -" > /sys/class/scsi_host/host0/scan (host1 as well)

and I can pick up the new lun. This time, it doesn't seem to be working.

Is there another way to scan in a disk without rebooting?

Wonder if it shows up in different numbers?

ls /sys/class/scsi_host

I figured it out.

First, I unpresented the new luns. Then I ran the "multipathd -k" command and removed the entries that were "undef" and "faulty". Then I removed the sd device with "echo 1 > /sys/block/<device>/delete". I represented the new luns, ran "echo "- - -" > /sys/class/scsi_host/host0/scan" (also did with host1) and viola, my new luns were there.
