save space and delete old packages
Hi. Very new to this! Using Fedora3. Have successfulyl installed from CD but am now getting alerts that there are 158 updates available. I'm running on a mere 4GB partition so how can I ensure that only the packages I've installed are updated? Are there clean up tasks I should do to minimise the amount of disk space wasted to downloaded packages?

thanks in advance for all the help.

goto add/remove get rid of anything you don't need or in terminal rpm -qa | less to see whats installed than rpm -e packagename no need for the .rpm extention. Make things even easier install apt for rpm and synaptic
