save config for suse live dvd to usb

I have posted this question already in suse forum because I had not seen this newbie post first. I have searched and searched for specifics but only to see it mentioned but not specific procedure. I need to save config/settings for suse live dvd to usb stick. Please take time for newbie, thank you.

What config files exactly? Are you needing to create a path so Suse will look for those files on the USB stick?

Firstly just so everyone knows I am not arabic, that's just a user name. What config files I mean is you can create a home directory for a live cd and it will read it when the cd/dvd boots up and it will be settings that you saved when you ran the live cd/dvd before and everything is running in RAM so you can only save changes to removable media like usb. What are specific instructions?

I really don't know the shell command for this but on knoppix's live cds there is a program that will automate this for you, It would be my guess that there is one of these on Suse too.
