Hello all,

I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction to get my linux install up and running.

I'm trying to install Mandrake 10.1 Community Distro. It will be going alongside XP install, but on a seperate partition already created.

The problem that I seem to be running into comes in when Mandrake tries to read/write/use the Sil 3114 SATA drivers. This is the first thing after the EULA. It just hangs on the installation screen saying its trying to use the Sil 3114 SATA drivers. Is there some sort of drivers that I can put on a floppy for it to copy?

Specs:
Proc: AMD Athlon 64 3400+
MB: AOpen AK89 Max
HD: 120gb Maxtor 6Y120M0
SATA Drivers: Sil 3114
Anything else you need?

I've searched around but really haven't found much. I'm looking forward to testing out linux so any help is appreciated.

This is a bump plus additional info.

I found on the Silicon Image website a link for the Sil 3114 drivers. But for some reason the link it goes to is never up, everything always times out. Talk about SOL.

I was wondering if the drivers from that are what I need? Once again, any help is appreciated.
