Samsung GT-N8000 Android 4.1.2 - mass storage = Debian Wheezy

Is there any way to have the Samsung Tablet (kernel 3.0.31-1247182)
when connected to my Wheezy machine
(Linux DellLatitude 3.2.0-4-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 3.2.51-1 i686 GNU/Linux)
show the internal tablets memory and memory card as a storage device
rather that Media device (MTP) / Camera (PTP) where transferring
large amounts of data is so slow?

I know that I can take the memory card out and install exfat-fuse to read exFat
file format, but I usually have the cable with me and the tablet can be
charged when connected to USB port as well.

Hey marcelp1.
There are work around this problem but not solution that I know of. One work around will be through samba. Create a shared directory in your desktop and use a file manager in android that would let you transfer files into that shared directory.

I use ESexplorer file manager in my mobile devices and connect to my desktop just fine.

I use Airdroid for this. It's available in the Play Store, install on the tablet, run it, and you can access everything on the tablet from your web browser.
