Samba update
Hi guys, I'm tyring to update my version of samba on Red Hat 9. I've performed the following commands to uninstall the current version:
rpm -e samba-client
rpm -e samba-swat
rpm -e redhat-config-samba-1.0.4-1
rpm -e samba-2.2.7a-7.9.0
which all worked ok, but when I do the following:
rpm -e samba-common-2.2.7a-7.9.0
I get the following message:
error: Failed dependancies:
samba-common = 2.2.7a is need by (installed) samba-2.2.7a-7.9.0
I have done this before in a lab at Uni and it worked ok. Then I installed the new version from rpm. But it doesn't want to work this time. Could anyone shed some light...bearing in mind I am a complete novice.
Thanks
