Samba SWAT doesnt accept Root Password or User name

I have Samba, and SWAT running. I cannot seem to get my username and password to work, this is my root information.

I use WEbmin, still does not work.

I use localhost:901 on the linux machine itself, and when the prompt comes up, it does not work.

Is there something I am not doing?

All services are up and running that need to be run in order to get Samba, and SWAT to work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

What do you mean by your username/pass not working. Do you mean to say that you can't connect Window machines with the samba server,

And between create a seperate Useraccount (NON root) as samba administrator. Because its not a good idea to use the root account as a samba admin and its not allowed too.

More information might help like your distro for example. Also post /etc/xinet.d/swat inside code blocks.
If it contains a line with "disabled" in it, simply delete the line and restart xinetd. By the way, xinetd needs to be running.

Do you have a distro that has the root account disabled? (Ubuntu for example)

Please put your distro in your user profile. It would have answered two of the questions I've posted.
