samba share

Hi

i have centos 5.3 installed, i have one samba share test,i want to create 2 new folder under this samba test folder share which is already created, but i want to give access to different user for different folder which is created under this test folder but when i access test folder it access but when i access the created folder under the test folder with different user shows error

Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.

Regards
Amar

Please review folder permissions in samba server setup and in shared folder setup.

Kindly check this site.

Hello amartlk,

this question is not trivial, you should consider to use the "Report" Button at your post and ask the Moderators to move the thread to "Linux - Server" http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...nux-server-73/

You've been asked NUMEROUS times to quit bumping your own threads after a short time. Once again, we VOLUNTEER our time here...not just wait for you to post a question. If you're impatient, I suggest you learn how to use Google, or PAY FOR SUPPORT, and call them.

Your question is hard to follow, but based on ACL precedence, I think you can do what you want via Windows, when you create the folder. Read the Samba documentation on permissions, chapter 16, since you're in such a hurry:
