Hi,

From the windows box, how can we check what are the windows box available for this linux box? I,m trying to browse this linix box from windows box, but it is not showing. Do I need to do anything in windows side? thanks in advance.

There are many reasons why you may not be seeing the linux server from your windoze system. I would suggest you go to chapter 3 in this document, and do some checking on your windoze systems to see if they are set up correctly.

Beyond that, you need to do things like post your smb.conf file for us to have any idea how you configured samba.

If your configuration is O.K. you would go to Network Neighborhood and browses the windoze network. It should find any severs that are out there. Of course this will work only if you have a good configuration on all your systems.

What flavour of windoze are you talking about?
