Unhappy samba problems

hey guys,

i'm a linux redhat newbie and had been trying out samba.
i configured the workgroups can already see my samba server
'janine' in my windows 98 box through network neighborhood
but when i double click it the following message is displayed

janine is not accessible
no permission to access resource

then it prompts for a password

if a right click on the janine icon then click properties
the following message displays

the server janine does not accept remote requests...

what is lacking in my smb configuration..
pls. help me... i'm kinda lost here. had been reading lots
of samba stuff and just couldn't put the pieces together.

thanx ....

I don't know whether this applies to W98, but normally you would need to have created the same users on your Linux box and ensured that they have got a Samba Password.
