SAMBA - Password Protect Sub-directories


Is it possible to password protect sub-directories?

yes it is.
But what exectly do you want ?

It does not work to create a share ( lets say ) Home, give the user access-rights to the top-folder and configure samba to only give the user accessrights to the directory /home/peter if he (or she) types the correct password.

If you want that, you would just create 2 shares. Home and peter seperat.
