suse 10 comes with samba client.

login as root in a shell.
#rpm -q samba-client

it will show you the version already installed.

No need to install again.

@ tshrinivasan

What is the difference with samba-3.0.23.d-5.1.39.i586.rpm with
samba-client-3.0.23.d-5.1.39.i586.rpm?does this mean that samba-3.0 is for server use only and samba-client is only use for client pc only?

Thank you for the Reply
