hi,i am new to linux,kindly post samba configuration steps

1. open file
2. edit
3. save
4. restart/reload samba

What kind of configuration do you need? What do you want to achieve? What have you tried?
You may try to read man smb.conf about possibilities and/or look for tutorials and examples on the net.

Yes, They may try "trick" questions like that.
Of course the general answer is: "You don't".
Then explain why and your alternatives like nulling out logs.
Just be sure of any implications of your actions. ;-)
