Samba - Computers appear in two locations, my error?

I finally got samba working on my small network of 1 desktop, 1 server, 1 dual boot laptop and a windows desktop. All linux installs are ubuntu 7.10.

However when I select Places>>Network, a folder opens which shows Windows Network and also the four individual computers that are on the network.

Clicking the individual computer or going thru the Windows Network, then to the computer icon, still works.

My question is why are there duplicates? Is this a configuration error that I have made? Are there any steps I should review so the computers appear in only one place? Either inside the Network folder or inside the Windows Network Folder.

Thanks for any links to additional reading or other suggestions.

I wouldn't say that those are duplicates,it's just that each OS is showing what it see.
