Samba - Can't see the files
Hello,
I have a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.7 server that has samba installed and running it is connected to the AD server and performing authentication for the server. I want to add a share... for data to be seen both on this server and on a Windows 7 share. I have created: [CASIO] comment = Weather Administrator's data #path = /home/NRG/adminamodins1/CAISO path=/hqfile1/Projects/Structure/Weather_Hourly_Data/CAISO_Wind valid users = amodins1 adminamodins1 admink90hig adminc40vas public = no writable = yes printable = no I have verified the account and the share on the windows side... I believe I have confused myself reading the various articles online. So here are my questions: 1) do I need to put something in the global area? 2) do I need to enter a 2nd workgroup? 3) How do I correlate the windows path with the linux path? 4) should the windows path or the linux path be under the [CASIO] grouping? Thanks in advance for you help! |
spelling mistake?
Have you noticed that the share is called CASIO whereas the folder name is CAISO?

I see everything spelled CAISO...
