Smile samba asks for username and password when connecting


I on a windows XP workstation mapping a drive \\systemnane\share and it asks for username and password. I disabled guest account in windows 2k3

That sounds quite kosher, so long as you can log in with your user name and pword. A workaround might be to use have the same user name and pword on both computers if you are not in a domain environment.

Samba by Example is the most user-friendly Samba reference I've found.
