Samba and RAR

I've setup a Samba share on my Fedora 5 machine that works great. However, I just downloaded a RAR archive on it and put it in the Samba share so Windows users can get it. For some reason, I can't see the archive file from my windows machine. I've set all permissions on it so thats not the problem. Everything else with this share works perfectly.

Any Ideas?

Difficult to imagine, since rar is just one sort of file so it shouldn't matter..it's just a piece of bits like any other file. Are you sure it is named all right (no leading dots nor special chars)? Did you try naming it to something else?

yup, i tried to rename it as well as remove the .rar extension but it still doesn't display for Windows. When I list the contents of the directory, the file appears in green... I don't know if that has anything to do with it..
