samba + Active directory ...

Hi All,

we were using samba as file and domain server to authenticate windows clients. Now we decided to migrate to windows domain server (win 2k3) ADS for user authentication.
And samba server would remain as file server.
Currently both the servers are running but when user changes his password on windows domain the user is not able access shared folders on file server.
For samba configuration please find attached file.

And suggest how to can I configure single authentication system for both the servers.

Windows Domain: WINDOM.COM
SAMBA DOMAIN: MYDOMAIN

Regards,
MSK

Why use double authentication then?
Just have one username and password for samba, and load the whole directive under windows, mount it somewhere and on that mount create directories for windows users and permissions through windows auth.

This can be easily done. I'm not sure what distro you are using, but arch linux has an excellent guide for doing this: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/...Windows_domain

hopefully this is along the lines of what you are looking for.
