Dear members,

I am newbie on Linux, i installed redhat 8.0 in my pc, everything running fine (i think so) b4.

Now my headache come
1) how do i share my file and printer to the workstation?
2) is there something like internet sharing or proxy server in linux?
3) what is samba doing? i have GNome and KDE, where can i run samba?

Hope someone who know this dummy question can help me, thank you......

Samba is actually a server which allows you to share directorys with windows machines and connect to windows shares.
Samba is pretty easy to set up for home use.

You can use your linux box for internet connection sharing. Check out .

But a search in google for internet connection sharing should give you something to read....
