Running win2k and Linux on a PC with wireless network

I'm currently running Windows 2000 professional, but wanna try Linux. I have internet access through a wireless network which needs it own software, which I don't know if can be used in Linux.

I'm planning to run both win2k and a Linux distro (which one should I choose?). But I want internet Access in both Linux and Windows. How do I solve my problem?

FIrst thing you'll want to do is find out if your wireless card is supported by linux.

I use Red Hat and usually recommend that, for no reason other than I prefer it to the other distros I have tried (Mandrake, Caldera & SuSE)

To find out if your Wireless card is supported goto (I presume the other distros have similar links)

In fact a quick google revealed this link
which seems to answer your questions.

I've got an XP/2000//Mandrake 10 wireless network running in my house, using a Linksys Cable/DSL router/wireless access point, and Linksys "Instant Wireless" USB network cards. Once I figured out how to configure the wireless connection (wlan0 in my system), it worked just fine. I use samba to share files across the network between the linux and windows boxes.
