Running Microsoft Virtual PC in Linux

I was curious if anyone has ever tried running Microsoft's VirtualPC in Linux?? I would like to use linux as my main OS, but my cs class uses MS VirtualPC to run windows server 2003. I know there are different applications like Virtual Box that can host virtual PCs in linux, but this class uses the .vhd files created by Microsofts Virtual PC.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

The only way this would work is if Wine supported VirtualPC, but from looking at the app DB, it doesn't.

You could be really perverse, and run Windows inside QEMU, and then run VirtualPC in Windows in QEMU, but that would probably end up being (as they say around where I live) slow as a week in the jail.

I don't find it very likely. Maybe someone out there has created a utility to convert .vhd files to a vmware or VirtualBox compatabile form.
