Running Internet on Fedora 8
 
Hi Guys,
I am new to Fedora 8 or you can say new to linux environment. I want to use internet on linux platform. What setting I have to do in Fedora so that I can use internet on my linux platform

Well if you have broadband internet just install Fedora it will set up dhcp you should be good to go. With dial up you will have to configure your modem.

Hi and welcome to the LQ!

It all depends on what kind of connection do you use to access the internet.If it's not dial up then Fedora will detect it automaticaly and give you an option to activate it on boot.

Hi,

What type of broadband connection do you have?
What is your modem configuration? Is it in bridged or router mode?
What is your modem model?
