running gvim in gnome
--update: Got it, thanks
Hi, I just installed debian on my desktop, replacing windows xp. I used to run a full 'standalone' version of gvim in windows, but now all I can figure out to do is run vim on the command line. So my questions are... Can I run a 'standalone' version of gvim in gnome that's seperate from the command line? If so, should it be installed already? (I'm running the latest stable release of Debian, 5.0.0 I think) If it is, how do I run it? Thanks for the help. |
Try installing 'vim-common'. Then, ALT-F2, and type 'vim-gnome', assuming it is installed.
