running gnome from terminal


how do you load gnome from the terminal? when linux boots it says "hit esc for verbose mode" i hit that and now i cant get back into the grapihcal interface. im stuck in the terminal and dont know how to get back out. this is so rediculous. whats the command to get back in? sorry for such a dumb question.

startx

And if its not your default Desktop, you can do it by:

startx gnome-session (i think, not sure, haven't done that in a while)
