Running a compiler


I want to run a c++ compiler but Im not sure how to. I installed the package for gcc(I think) and im running kde. so how do I run a compiler through kde.
Im using Mandrake 7.2

when I compile some c++, I just open a terminal and type "g++ file.cpp" and that works (I'm under redhat 8.0)

Okay, what im really looking for is something like what Borland C++ looks like. Since i really don't know what im talking about i cant be more technical, sorry

Hmmm ....

If it HAS to be an IDE look at KDevelop(should come with your
Distro...), or .. Anjuta :}
