I have tried several distros.( bluestar, voyager, slax, opensuse, ubuntu, mandriva etc) I have bought new pendrive for this purpose. Even with new pendrive the error keeps coming and I am unable to load iso.
My pc configuration is W7, 8GB ram, 500GB hdd.
I have also tried several usb boot softwares like Rufus, multibootusb, unetbootin, universal usb installer and Yumi. (ooof).
I will be grateful to the community if this is resolved
I assume you're using Windows (xxx) and Rufus, multibootusb, unetbootin, universal usb installer and Yumi. to try and get a bootable usb stick. unetbootin and a hand full of distros I've used, just lately, as I usually use dd in Linux, but I was making one with persistence, no issues, and as stated without knowing the actual steps you took and distro one can only guess what you did so it did not work.
The link you posted, which distro and how did you install it to the usb? The more details/steps you give will help.
I have downloaded several distros using torrents and keep them in my PC. I install a distro in the usb using the usb booting software.
The steps I have taken are as follows: select boot medium as USB from W7; I get the name of the distro to select; I select the distro to boot and after a few seconds the error crops up.
The same error comes with all distros and with various usb booting softwares I mentioned. Could it be with the usb port? I tried other ports as well.
I have used this method earlier to install Linux Mint which is running satisfactorily along with W7 in the same PC.
I am also using Oracle VB and all these iso s are running perfectly with VM which means the distros themselves are correctly downloaded using torrents.
This error is coming in all distros I mentioned. I thought it must be some error with the pendrive. So I used a new one with the same result.
I install a distro in the usb using the usb booting software.
you mean something that comes with windows? no, no.
there's a few choices, but i think you should be using rufus or etcher. and always read what the distro's web pages have to say about creating a bootable medium.

To the best of my knowledge no such software comes with windows. I used only dowloaded rufus, multibootusb, usbbootin. I have not tried Etcher. Let me do that.
Thanks.
at the menu prompt hit tab and add noacpi to the end of the line. If the tab doesn't work hit the e and add it to the end of the line that starts with linux

I always use the program called Etcher, it's very user user friendly, simply open the program, select iso image, select the drive and flash to the usb stick. Here is the link https://www.balena.io/etcher/ , make sure it detects your operating system correctly before downloading the software. It's open source so it's free to use.

Thanks in advance.
Make a bootable USB flash drive with the operating system using Rufus and run os in noinstall-mode. There are many instructions from reputable sites.
To boot from a flash card, you need to press the Esc or F1-F12 or DEL key after switching on

Follow the directions on that site to at least test to verify you are performing the process correctly to create a bootable USB device from the LIVE Iso file.
Fedora has a rather refined USB generation tool that runs smoothly in win7. I just replaced my win7 OS with Fedora 29 last night using that process.
