Run fsck on root (/) at boot

Hello.

What I would like to do is to have the option (Press Y in x seconds to check FS) to run fsck against my root partition on boot. I would like to have it arranged so that after it ran it, it could remount it rw.

I think this is a fairly common thing, so I have to imagine it can be done without too much difficulty.

SUSE 9.2 pro

Thank you.

You should be able to get to single user mode by pressing ctrl+D when the system starts to boot and it will prompt you for the root password and dump you off at a command prompt. then you can do a fsck. when you are done you can hit ctrl+D again and it should boot up normally.

Thanks!

Is it possible to build it into the boot process (entries in the boot files & script, etc...)?
