rtorrent on Gentoo
I'm trying to use rtorrent on a gentoo box, i have only command line interface via ssh.
When I enter the command
"rtorrent [isoHunt] the file.torrent"
I just get an error message
Using 'epoll' based polling.
could not open file: "the"
could not open file: "[isoHunt]"
could not open file: "file"
but with bittorrent the files do work, the torrents have lots of seeds as well. Sometimes files do actually download, but when I copy them to my XP desktop and try to open them with VLC, the progress bar moves along but there's no sound or picture.
Can anyone see what I'm doing wrong in terms of the "could not open file" message, or at least what I'm doing wrong that those torrents that do download don't result in playable media?
thanks for any help.
