rtl8169 driver

I have install rhel5 in my leaptop.But after installing i have not found any network card .So my network is not card is realtek
8169 AND MY KERNAL VARSION IS 2.6.X after thet i have download realtec 8169 series driver from realtek site but when i tried to install that driver error message come and i m not able to installit.pls give help.
is there any module require in rhel5 for install this driver?

As root, do
modprobe r8169
If there is no error message, it loaded. look in
ifconfig -a
to seeif your network interface has appeared.

Some manufacturers make bad cards... you may need to try some other module
