rsync error
 
I have rsync error message for this command,

Hard to say ... try using the same locale on both machines?

I have attached USB Hard drive for backing up, so this rsync command works in the same machine.

I checked this usb drive's file system is ntfs, I forgot.

If I change this hard drive's file system into ext3, will rsync work with no error?

I'll hazard a guess and say yes. Don't know for sure, of course, but
character set issues between identical file-systems are something I've
never heard of.
