rpmm cant handle source rpm ???


Hi, im trying to iinstall a src.rpm.

ive seen a few methods, but all include using

rpm --rebuild
or
rpm -ba

my redhat9 rpm says those options do not exsist ,, HELP !!!!!!!!!

have you actually checked the man page for rpm? -ba is the normal one i think. try giving the actual errors you have.

-ba: unknown option

that option does not apear in the man page.
so, where can i get a rpm that works ?
the 1 that comes with redhat 9 cannot handle source

try it like this:
rpmbuild --rebuild
and then check /usr/src/redhat
