rpmbuild redhat 8.0

i want to do the equivalent of this:
Build the binary rpm with this command:

$ rpmbuild -bb msttcorefonts-1.3-3.spec
in redhat 8.0. it says 'rpmbuild' is not a command.

Lightbulb Re: rpmbuild redhat 8.0

Make sure you have all the tools for RPM.. rpmbuild is a command in RedHat 8. I would recommend getting apt-get for RPMS's

And then do an apt-get install synaptic to install the apt-get front end for X..

It is the easiest way to check and update packages on your system that I have found. You can also use apt-get upgrade to make sure your system is up to date.. Instead of using the RHN which doesn't always work. I hope this helps.

Get the packages rpm, rpm-build and rpm-devel, you'll be fine then
