rpm query size?


Is it possible to have rpm -qa output approximate disk space usage? Or maybe there is another command for this? Thanks.

I meant for like each individual package which is outputted from rpm -qa. Thanks.

Try the --dump option.
rpm -qa --dump | grep filename

I don't have rpm installed, otherwise I'd give it a go to test it for ya.

Here's the format dump is supposed to be in:

--dump Dump file information as follows:

path size mtime md5sum mode owner group isconfig isdoc rdev symlink
So the second column over looks to be size.
