RPM problems

hey folks,
just installed RH9 and after 5 minute of playing ive already hit a problem, im trying to install the ipchains rpm so i download it then right mouse click and select install packages, a box comes up saying preparing system update then dissapears and thats it not installation complete message nothing and im still ipchainless!

any ideas?

If you use the command line it will at least give you an error message that might help solve the problem.

cd /where/the/package/is
rpm -Uvh <package>
