RPM HUNT SPECIAL....Now KLIPS Problemo
I have tried the following rpm's on redhat 9.0:
freeswan-userland-2.03_2.4.20_8-0.i386.rpm freeswan-module-2.03_2.4.20_8-0.i386.rpm This returned the following errors: ipsec_setup: Starting FreeS/WAN ipsec 2.02.. ipsec_setup: insmod: no module by that name found ipsec_setup: modprobe: Can't locate module ipsec ipsec_setup: Kernel appears to lack KLIPS So i then tried: depmod -a modprobe -k ipsec Still the same missing modules error (as above) It was then suggested that i had used the wrong rpm. I may have used the redhat rpms, i got the files from 2.4.20-8 directory of f*t*://ftp.xs4all.nl/pub/crypto/freeswan/binaries/RedHat-RPMs/2.4.20-8/ as my redhat nine kernel was: #] uname -r 2.4.20-8 Does anyone here knows which rpms are meant to be used with which redhat version or kernel?? Are they named by the version number of redhat or by the kernel number?? Also anyone tell me how to compile and rebuild a kernel. As this KLIPS problemo needs a kernel recompile. If anyone referring to any web resource then please it should be easy-2-understand for a novice like me and brief coz in the last couple of dayz this FreeS/WAN thing has made me out of my mind. PLEASE HELP :( |
