Question rpm help Red Hat 9.

Just to let you know i feel really stupid.

Here's the question:

im trying to install wine so i can use some microsoft stuff but im having a problem. Im logged in as root. So in a terminal window and i type:

[root@localhost root]# rpm -U -percent /root/wine-devel-20040309-1rh9winehq.i386.rpm

The readout i get is:

rpm: arguments to --root (-r) must begin with a /

Help me please. i just want to learn how to install the rpm's so i can get away from windows. Any help would be great folks.
