rpm erase problem

Hi,

I want to re-install a package which I suspect is corrupted. When I tried to erase the installed package with rpm -e command it failed with message: "...scriplet failed." . Can I do a forced erase or force install without undesirable effoets? Thanks

Try "rpm -e --noscripts package"
