rpm configuring /etc/hosts file

Hello Group,

I am having some problems in my /etd/hosts file, where unwanted matching appears between IP addresses and hostnames.

Could someone please tell me, which is centos rpm, which configures /etc/hosts file.

Thanks in advance

nagrik

dont need to configure /etc/hosts for yum to function. you need to ensure you have the correct repos installed.

http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories

not sure if that will help, but check it out anyways.

How do you came to know unwanted matching appears between IP address and hostnames? What exactly you want to do?
