Hello all,

I am running HTTP server(BOA ) and squid proxy on the same target board(i.e processor) simultaneously (I have assigned as board IP address). I am able to access HTTP server from browser directly without proxy in between, My requirement is to if I want access HTTP server request should be through squid proxy,Can any body explain me how to forward HTTP request through squid proxy.??? BOA is listening on port 80 and squid on port 3128. any response will be greatly appreciated

Hello thanks for your answer was really useful, my requirement is also similar to you without configuring client browser HTTP request should be through squid proxy ,all I need to do is configure squid as transparent proxy.

I edited squid.conf file (FYI i have 2.7 version of squid)
http_port 3128 transparent

I am confused about only one thing is following line

iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 3128

this above line also need to be added to squid.conf or somewhere else can u please clear my confusion
