router to use for vpn, red hat operating system, ftp, solaris workstation

What router do you suggest to use for a Solaris workstation? I would like a vpn and the ability to have a server. Please suggest a router that would be easy to install with the Red Hat operating system.
Thanks!

Routers are pieces of networking hardware. They are what provides your network backbone. Whatever you plug in to them is going to work/not-work, depending on how your server/workstation/whatever is configured.

There are SOME things you can do at the router level to block certain ports/traffic/etc., but these are up to you and your networking guys to figure out.
