Question Root permissions

I am connected to a remote system using my normal user account, but I need to issue a command that requires root permissions. How do I do this?

This requires the cooperation of the administrator of the remote system. He can set up the sudo command to where you can issue the sudo command followed by the command that requires root permissions.
