root password login error

Hi,
I have a suse9.0 linux raid system which had failed (I had posted previously to try a find solution and I haven't succeeded), now I'm trying to re-install everything using the original CDs. When I booted from the hard disk choosing "Fail safe" I had this display as per attahce dimage. I usually able to go up to "Give root password to login:" and able to login, but now the system go directly to Fast Track and do a rebuild (as can be seen on the display the rebuild failed as well). Anything I do ended up with Fast Track login, and I can't go anywhere. Can someone please help. I'm totally new to linux. Many thanks.

Joey

You can try and blow away the hard disk and start from scratch following exactly what the prompts ask for, as they give pretty clean instructions from the beginning to end. I suppose you might have tried to install with nothing attached to the computer, and with all the bios configured to boot from the CD etc etc... Fixing stuff from the command line is too nasty to begin with.

There are plenty of wipe disk options out there, consider these two below, by Darik,

http://www.dban.org/

or disk wipe,

http://www.diskwipe.org/

that will clean your hard drive out!
