root password for knoppix
HELP!!!
I just got knoppix 3.2. When I went to change some settings, I realized that I need the root pasword, but it came with the root pasword already set, does anyone know what it is??? I am desperate.

Actually, CTRL ALT F2 to a console and type:
passwd
To change the root password as it's not set to anything specific, just encoded.

I actually dont feel quite so stupid because it didnt work, it said " passwd: Authentication failure" what do I do now? Im hope less

You have to type root:
passwd root
CTRL ALT F2 should bring up a console. This is a root console. From there you **should** be able to change root's password with:
passwd root
