Rokie!!!!
Please, Please someone help me out. have no clue about this stuff.
I am interested learning the environment. I am totally blind to this Linux. Thanks |
There are lots of beginners tutorials and introduction sites that can be reached with a simple google search. Here are a couple offered by some respectable sites:
http://www.linux.org/lessons/beginner/index.html http://tldp.org/LDP/intro-linux/html/ Read those, then if you have any specific questions, feel free to ask. :) |
Check out the tutorials, wiki, and stickies, posting garbage like this isn't going to help you learn a thing.

You will only learn by using it!!!
I started using linux in 1998 - redhat. When i NEEDED to do something , i looked it up and eventually everything fell together. I also recommed you invest in one good book. I bought a book called 'Using Linux' over a decade ago and its the best 18 bucks i spent cause i still refer to it from time to time. I would recommed you run ONLY linux because if you have a dual boot system and run windows xp etc - you will always be tempted to use the easy solution. I had that problem for a long long time and would always boot into windows - sometimes it would be months before i went back to linux. Linux is not hard - it just takes a bit more time and thought but thats the beauty of it! |
welcome to LQ!!
