rm stupidity

ahhh, I'm stupid. I thought I was in a diffrent directory and I did "rm *.mp3" . Little did I realize... I was in the wrong directory. I lost about 20 mp3 files. I could get them back, but I would have to go through all my cd's again, waste another hour or so. Is there any way to get those files back? Maybe some sort of temporary directory or something where they might be stored? I don't plan on it, but if there was that would be cool.
