Rhel5 with ubuntu and windows xp

i am willing to install RHEL5 on my second primary partition of 15gb.

Specific scenario:
--> m having WindowsXP installed on first partition(primary)
--> Ubuntu 8.10 on third partition(logical)
--> Need to install RHEL5 on second partition(primary)

it seems too risky for a newbie to install any OS as of RHEL5 on machine with existing OSes and m no exception.

Please help.....virtualization, as solution, is not for me(not enough ram).

thanks.

Avinazz:

There is no danger to install and multiboot GNU/Linux distros with an Xp at the 1st primary partition. Just install gnu/linux bootloader at the mbr (master boot record) we have better bootloaders than that "ntloadr" of xp. Of course after installation of RH5 you need configure the bootloader to chainload the Xp loader seated at the 1st partition. That one thing is very easy to learn in few minute's reading. Use google to find tutorial of the bootloader. I think its Lilo or Grub.

Check back if you have further probs so we can help.

Goodluck.
